Typar BioBarrier® Root Control System is a geotextile fabric that contains trifluralin nodules that deflect the roots away preventing root and weed growth. BioBarrier® root control geotextile fabric protects hardscapes and landscapes from damage caused by tree and shrub root intrusion. Typar BioBarrier® works invisibly to deflect roots by its nodules slowly releasing the trifluralin preventing cell root tip cell division which is the method by which roots grow. A small amount of the trifluralin is released and as it biodegrades, it is continually replaced ensuring a long life and effectiveness of the herbicide zone. Typar BioBarrier® can be used:

- Along hardscapes (sidewalks, retaining walls and parking lots)
- Around Pipes
- Under Pots (Prevents roots growing through drain holes)
- Dams / levees
